Institutional Subscribers

As a small association journal, we are starting our online access offering a limited number of IP addresses per subscription. As we feel our way through this rapidly changing medium, we are reviewing other models and would appreciate your feedback. web@cjns.org

As an institutional subscriber, you are already receiving a print copy of the Journal and you automatically have access to the full online Journal upon payment of your annual subscription. You must activate your online subscription in order to have access online.

A letter will be sent to each subscription agent for them to inform all their subscribers about the need to register themselves online, with instructions on how to go about this.

Institutional customers who have not yet registered with MetaPress will need to complete an institutional registration as follows:

Please visit http://cjns.metapress.com and click on the “Register” button at the bottom of the screen.

  • After clicking on the Register button, you will be taken to a screen that allows you to choose between Institutional or Individual Registration. The Institutional Registration option allows for IP authenticated access to CJNS online journals’ subscriptions.
  • Please enter the data required in the fields provided; you will choose your institution's institutional code, username and password, then click the "OK" button at the bottom of the screen.
  • Next, you will set up your institution's administrative username and password, and specify the IP addresses you wish to associate with your account.
  • Once completed, please click “Continue”. This will direct you to a screen that displays your username and MetaPress ID. An e-mail notification will also be sent to you confirming the details of your registration.
  • Please click “Continue” at the bottom of the screen. You will then be directed to a page that will prompt you to enter an Activation code to enable your online access to the Canadian Journal of Neurological Sciences. This was sent to you in a letter. If you have not received an activation code from the publisher, please click “Continue” and contact web@cjns.org to request your activation code.
